Apple Cobbler Pie | Recipe

  • Pie crust
  • 3 Granny Smith apples
  • Lemons or Lemon juice
  • Granulated sugar
  • Brown sugar
  • Cinnamon
  • Nutmeg
  • Flour
  • Butter
  • Brown paper grocery bag

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°

  • Bowl 1: Filling
    • 3 peeled sliced apples
    • 2 tbsp lemon juice
    • 1 tsp cinnamon
    • 1 dash nutmeg
    • Powder mixture:
    • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
    • 2 tbsp white flower
  • Bowl 2: Topping (double amount for extra ‘cobble’)
    • 1/2 stick butter or margarine (1 stick = 1/2 cup)
    • 1/4 cup brown sugar
    • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
    • After mixing add:
      • 1/2 cup flour
  • Put filling then topping into crust

  • Place into brown bag and staple shut

  • Bag is optional; without it:
    • Results are more golden crispy
    • If not using a bag, use a drip guard
